Healing Art Practice

Healing Art is a process of applying creative practices in an intuitive way to bring about a new level of awareness, new understandings and perspectives, growth and transformation, and a greater sense of wellbeing.

Art making and expressive arts methods are often extraordinary healing practices because the non-verbal process helps you to forge a connection between your mind and body, bypassing analysis and overthinking; unlike exercise which works more specifically on the body, or mediation on its own that calms the mind, art-making accesses both mind and body to promote healing and integration of the lived experience.​ Natalie explores collage, mixed media, bi-lateral drawing, paint, clay, and simple construction. Mindfully experimenting to explore the felt sense, and give words to unconscious images, emotions, dreams, and memories.

Anyone can engage in art for healing and does not need to know how to paint or draw. Simple techniques reveal powerful felt experiences. It is amazing what is revealed and healed through mark-making.

Sessions are 90 - 120 minutes and can be tailored to suit individuals or groups.

Packages of 4-6 sessions are recommended for therapeutic outcomes.
